Music & Spirit Service

Sunday Schedule is below

Join us online or tune in on Facebook Live!

We believe that music is a portal through which we may experience ultimate reality. Just as there are many spiritual paths that lead to meaning, there are many musical routes to spiritual experience.

Our music includes acoustic folk, Hindu kirtan, piano and organ, choral anthems, classical harp and chamber music, and indigenous music. Along with music, the services combine spiritual readings and reflections on world issues and personal values, as well as Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist and Native American beliefs and sacred texts. Spiritual healing is quietly woven throughout the service. Gathering members are welcome to light a candle to commemorate a prayer or event.

    Spirit of Interdependence

    Sunday, July 6, 11AM

David Suzuki said, "I see a world in the future in which we understand that all life is related to us and we treat that life with great humility and respect." Rev. Kim Marie encourages us to create visions of connections rather than divisions in this service, reminding us that we are all in fact one. Join us in ritual, prayer and vision, as well as music and spirit from members Augusto Salazar and Brenda Haley. Join us in the Sanctuary or click below to watch live on Facebook.

    Release to Transform

    Sunday, July 13, 11am

To be transformed, the Buddha said we must give up grasping for what you think you want and quit spending time and energy avoiding what you think you don't want. He said the cause of the unsatisfactoriness of life is our grasping for and aversion to illusory things. How can we make this shift, waking up to realize that our minds created the prison in which we live? Pastor Don will explore spiritual tools to experience life as it truly is. Equilibrium Makeover

    Sunday, July 20, 11am

The planet’s resources are dwindling at an alarming rate. Conflict and exploitation are widespread and unequal resources cause suffering for billions. Human greed threatens our survival — and the future of the planet. How do we find the innate harmony and perfection in the cosmos? Pastor Don will offer tools from Taoism that can help us come back into equilibrium. Inspiring music provided by Stephen Coronella. Join us in the Sanctuary or click below to watch live on Facebook.

    Path of Excellence

    Sunday, July 27, 11am

In our fast-paced world, seeking transformation can be challenging. How can we find the time to attend to all of the demands on us while having the space to grow and change? Islam provides a framework for excellence, known as Ihsan. Reverend Chatfield will consider the concept of Ihsan and how we can incorporate spiritual practices into our everyday lives. Music will be provided by the Selkie Trio. Join us in the Sanctuary or click below to watch live on Facebook.
