Music & Spirit Service
Sunday Schedule is below
Join us online or tune in on Facebook Live!
We believe that music is a portal through which we may experience ultimate reality.
Just as there are many spiritual paths that lead to meaning, there are many musical routes to spiritual experience.
Our music includes acoustic folk, Hindu kirtan, piano and organ, choral anthems, classical harp and chamber music, and indigenous music. Along with music, the services combine spiritual readings and reflections on world issues and personal values, as well as Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist and Native American beliefs and sacred texts. Spiritual healing is quietly woven throughout the service.
Gathering members are welcome to light a candle to commemorate a prayer or event.

Balance in Motion
Sunday, March 1, 11 am
Balance is not standing still — it is continual adjustment; it is dynamic, not static. Spiritual teachers across traditions remind us that a balanced life is flexible. Wisdom lies in responsiveness, not rigidity. At Music & Spirit on Sunday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Don will explore spiritual practices to recalibrate our balance as conditions around us are changing. Music will be provided by Karen McFeeters. Join us in the Sanctuary at Meach Cove, or click here to watch on Facebook.

Balancing Opposites
Sunday, March 8, 11 am
Across spiritual traditions we encounter paired truths: silence and speech, strength and tenderness, contemplation and service, joy and sorrow. Spiritual maturity means learning to live with paradox. At Music & Spirit on Sunday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Chatfield will offer spiritual tips to remind us that opposites are not enemies; they are partners in wholeness. Music will be provided by Pat Lambdin. Join us in the Sanctuary at Meach Cove, or click here to watch on Facebook.

Balance of the Heart & Soul
Sunday, March 15, 11 am
Islamic spirituality works with the self/ego, or soul (nafs) to reach a state of inner balance (Mizan). Balancing the nafs is moving from the ego and its impulses toward a cultivation of peace and tranquil equanimity and heartfelt connection/submission to Allah. At Music & Spirit on Sunday, March 15th at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Kim Marie will be exploring the nafs and the continual balancing of the heart so we can learn more about soul balance. There will be a community ritual of balance. Heart and soulful music will be provided by Pat Lambdin. Join us in the Sanctuary at Meach Cove, or click here to watch on Facebook.

The Rhythm of Balance
Sunday, March 22, 11 am
Nature does not rush — yet everything is accomplished. Sabbath traditions teach sacred rest. Monastic life is built on alternating rhythms of meditation, work, study, and silence. Mystics recognize that burnout often arises from losing spiritual rhythm. At Music & Spirit on Sunday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Don will share practices to develop a balanced rhythm of life. Music will be provided by Heidi Champney. Join us in the Sanctuary at Meach Cove, or click here to watch on Facebook.

Balancing the Middle Way
Sunday, March 29, 11 am
Many spiritual traditions teach that balance is the middle way of love. The Buddha called it the Middle Way; Aristotle spoke of the golden mean; Christian mystics described ordered love; and New Thought speaks of harmony between thought, feeling, and action. At Music & Spirit on Sunday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Don will consider spiritual practices that lead to a balanced life where love guides priorities. Music will be provided by Augusto Salazar and Brenda Haley. Join us in the Sanctuary at Meach Cove, or click here to watch on Facebook.
