Beginner 6 week series

Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art and health exercise that cultivates greater balance, ease, and strength of mind. This 6-week offering is an introduction to the fundamentals of practice and instruction on the first set of movements of the primary training sequence known as the “Slowset” of the Yang Style Tung Family lineage. Qigong and standing meditation is also a component of this introductory series. No previous experience is required and all levels of experience are welcomed!

Rachel Edwards brings over 15 years of experience as a Tai Chi Chuan practitioner to All Souls Interfaith Gathering. Rachel was first introduced to Tai Chi while in graduate school studying Chinese Medicine finding the graceful movements a captivating blend of her previous experience with dance, therapeutic movement, and meditation. After graduating in 2001, she settled in Lincoln, Vermont and had the good fortune of meeting Christopher Kiely (Falling Water School of Tai Chi) and the Yang style form of the Tung Family lineage devoting herself to training, learning, and teaching ever since. She feels privileged to share this tradition of health cultivation and connection with our community.
