Labyrinth

What is Labyrinth?

•
It is one of the oldest contemplative tools used for centuries for prayer, ritual, initiation, personal and spiritual growth. It is said to have been in existence for 3500 years.

• A circular path leads to the center and back out again. It is not a maze. There are no dead ends. You can always see the center. The labyrinth gently leads you to the center no matter how many turns you negotiate.

• It is a sacred space that allows you to take a breath, connect with your body, your soul and your heart. Turning inward allows the mind to relax.

• The style is a seven circuit Cretan Labyrinth, 80 feet in diameter with 3 foot walking paths that are accessible for people with physical challenges.

• The paths correspond to the chakras or energy centers in the body. They are numbered starting with the outside path as number one and continue to the center. The walk starts at the 3(Solar Plexus), 2(Belly), 1(Root), 4(Heart), 7(Crown), 6(Brow), and ends with the 5(Crown).

Sacred Earth Wheel

What is the Sacred Earth Wheel?

An outdoor circle of stones, built by Gathering members in June 2003, is a place to connect with the Earth’s energy, where you can access deep intuitive guidance, send energy to the Earth and receive its peaceful blessings. If you need healing or know someone who needs healing, we encourage you to walk the Sacred Earth Wheel.
