What on Earth! Cultures & Faiths of the World Children grades K-6 Sundays at 5:00pm During Evensong Service
This year the children learning about Tibet and China, their cultures, environmental issues Buddhism, and other belief systems. The children will meet with Tibetans relocated here in Vermont, create a monastery, make Tibetan crafts, learn about sound & vibration through Tibetan music & meditation, and Chinese movements and writings, learning how each can affect a life. Gather current event clippings and articles about Tibet, China and the Summer Olympics in Beijing to share and discuss as we venture forward to an exciting year!

Toddler Childcare Available During Evensong Services
Young children are welcome in the service, the toddler room is a wonderful place to take them if they are unable to sit through the service quietly. Located on the shelf below the hymnals, there is a basket of books and toys for small children to bring in with them to the Evensong Service. We also have Childcare available in our Toddler Room. To assist in planning and to ensure childcare meets families' needs for preschool age children and younger, please call in advance to let us know you are coming. Taking Sundays Back! Teens grades 7-12 Sundays at 4:00pm in The Earth Space
TEENS AT 4:00PM IN THE ASIG LIBRARY: Continuing our journey with Bill Moyers interviews “Joseph Campbell and The Power of Myth.” Joseph Campbell's quote from Love and the Goddess which will be shown and discussed on May 31st, “When you are awakened at the level of the heart to compassion and suffering with the other person, that is the beginning of humanity. ...It is the suffering that evokes the humanity of the human heart.” A quote from “Masks of Eternity” to be shown on June 7th, “A myth is a mask of god, a metaphor for what lies behind the visible world...the realization of wonder and also the experience of tremendous power which people living in the world of nature are experiencing all the time.”
CHILDREN AT 5:00PM: On May 31st the children will talk about being in harmony with one another and learn of the many dimensions of life after hearing the story “Unicorn Adventure,” using rocks and crystals, a game they make themselves, planting seeds and activities increasing their awareness of their inner journey. On June 7th, “Flying High Adventure,” the children will be encouraged to practice creating happy moments as they participate in a variety of activities, turn their work into play and to become aware of their beliefs and change the ones that no longer serve them.
MAY 17TH IS OUR TEEN/CHILDREN LAY LED SERVICE: All children and teens will be participating either by performing with an instrument, singing, reading a poem or writing—all having to do with “Music” the spiritual vibration! Please contact Lisa Desmond if your child would like to perform with an instrument and/or song or poem! Everyone Welcome!
